ABOUT
I have dabbled in artistic expression in many forms since childhood. I have mainly focused my creative outlets in writing music over the years but have always been ideating and creating in whatever way I could. However, I always felt there was some type of paint brush I would pick up at some point.

In March 2023 I found a free online sketchpad and immediately got lost in a creative, and therapeutic, outlet in a type of abstract and free expression. I created many digital pieces over the next several months.

I then decided to move away from the digital world to the "real world" by painting with acrylics. (Funny story - this happened when my boss at work had our team do a follow-along painting class of the Eiffel Tower. Having a paint brush in hand totally changed me). I have found my greatest expression thus far in a mix of acrylics and other mediums to create abstract pieces of color and form that captures what I'm experiencing in that moment. I will often turn to painting either if I need to break up the monotony of the day or when I'm feeling like I'm on cloud nine. Both of these emotions always bring about new ideas as I put paint, pen, pencil, marker, ink, chalk, dirt, and other substance to paper, canvas, wood, etc.

My hope is that when I complete a piece - which happens when I sense every color, form, and line feels like it has settled on whatever canvas I'm using - that others may find something in a particular work for them as well. I paint for me. But I share it for others.
